WHY BUENOS AIRES?
Aside from this city being known for it’s architecture, meats and love for books, Buenos Aires has so much to offer in terms of sight seeing, successfully working as a digital nomad and meeting some of the most interesting people along the way. As our time here winds down, the tribe has been able to experience so many things and we definitely wanted to share some great insight for the future traveler to this great location.

MONEY (ATM PRICES)
While there are ATMs on almost every corner, keep in mind the fees that are associated. Even if your bank that does not charge international transaction fees, there’s still a ARS $94.00 ATM fee per transaction at virtually any bank ($6 USD). And, with a ARS $2000/day limit ($130 USD), use cash only when you HAVE to, and a card everywhere else to cut down on fees.

PLACES TO WORK
As digital nomads, one of the most important necessities is great WiFi. Maybe you’re into coworking spaces (Urban Station, HIT and La Maquinita are all available and have multiple locations). Or, maybe all you need is a mix of comfortable seating, ample plugs to keep power, yummy food and good drinks to make a perfect work day. We explored all over the city of the perfect place to work and some of our favorite cafe’s include Mooi Restaurant in Belgrano, Libros Del Pasaje in Palermo and Tea Connection in Recoleta.

Uber is prominent out here, as well as regular taxi’s, but please keep in mind rush hour traffic. Alternatives include walking to nearby hot spots (there is so much to see in the city) and public transportation! It’s super easy and very cheap (about $.40/ride… yes, 40 cents per ride). Moovit is a GREAT app to use that gives you real-time updates public transit and perfectly laid out routes to get you where you need to be. Lastly, BA offers free bicycle rentals!
