We know that we’re dreamers.
If you’ve been contemplating the digital nomad lifestyle and you need some pinterest-style inspo to keep you going, we’ve got a list of some of our favourites.
Michelle Wintersteen - MKW Creative Co.
Our first digital nomad on the list with over 50 countries under her belt, is the impeccably fashionable Michelle Wintersteen. Prepare yourself for high levels of fun, bright colours, and the most satisfying love of hats, avocados and of course Michelle’s gorgeous dog Wilson!Michelle is the Brand Designer and Creative Director of her branding business MKW Creative Co.
She’s a woman on a mission to ensure that social media minded entrepreneurs have the kind of branding that packs a real punch. Aside from this, Michelle is an accomplished community builder. Her Kiss My Aesthetic Facebook and Podcast brings together some of the brightest creatives in the brand design space together. She’s a powerhouse across all the main social media platforms and a bright spot in the day for all digital nomads with that entrepreneurial spirit.
Johnny FD
If you’re a digital nomad looking for detailed information about what this world has to offer, then look no further than Johnny FD. We’ve linked to his articles before because the information is world class.
Having started his journey in corporate life, Johnny realised something was missing. After reading the 4 Hour Week by the infamous Tim Ferriss, he picked himself up, took off to Thailand and pursued his love of scuba diving. Since then, Johnny has evolved into the passive income king, and has spent years diversifying his income streams with online businesses, e-books, investments and more. He’s got well over 50 countries under his belt and we absolutely love his website’s sleek, information focused design.
His blog is definitely a go-to place for us if we want to find out details about the countries that he’s stayed in.
Christa Romano - Christabellatravels
Christa Romano, owner of the exceedingly beautiful Instagram @christabellatravels is an established digital nomad who has maintained herself on the road full time since 2013. She’s accrued so much experience in fact, it’s absolutely fitting that she is now a Location Independence Career Coach!
Christa made her living for many years as a digital marketer but it is now her joy to help people “escape the matrix” and move towards a life that gives them the freedom they never knew they needed. She’s visited and lived in over 60 countries and we love her Instagram stories where she talks to us and gives us a front row seat into her authentic nomadic experience.
DM her on Instagram to find out more about her coaching skills!
Jubril Agoro - Passport Heavy
Founder of one of the sexiest travel channels on Youtube, Chicago-raised Jubril and his team never fail to impress with the most aspirational, informative and beautifully executed content you’ve ever seen.
Their content covers some of our favourite DN hotspots across the globe, but also gives us some insight into the beauty and culture of the more uncommon destinations.
We dare you to watch a video by Passport Heavy and not think “This needs to be me...immediately.” See above to get in touch with Christa Romano if you need a helping hand 😉 Jubril is a marketing expert and nomadic entrepreneur and has been for several years now. We love the free city guides, the beautiful social media and the exposure to some of the amazing social media travel influencers that are out there.
Find out more on the Passport Heavy website and prepare to not want to leave that website until you have booked a flight of your own to one of the incredible places the team have visited.
Thank me later 😉
Stella Airoldi - Founder of 22Stars
A beautiful name and a big heart. Stella Airoldi got her start studying International Law and Human Rights. Her studies brought her to Uganda where she had the opportunity to interview some of the souls in a refugee camp in Kampala. A love affair with this wonderful country began that day.
When she left, she found she’d left her heart behind in Uganda and once she’d quite working for large organisations like the EU, she went back there.Taking her lead from the industrious women who made jewellery, Stella started her own jewellery business to finance social programs for local women in Uganda. This grew into her founding the 22Stars Foundation which now supports 375 children through their education. She also started Social Nomads as a way of sharing her passion for Uganda, organizing Impact Trips that genuinely have a positive impact on the local community.
Her business is fully remote so she has travelled to over 60 countries and we absolutely love seeing all of her adventures in Uganda and beyond.
Kristin Wilson - Traveling With Kristin
Kristin Wilson started her journey as an expat and digital nomad in 2011 after leaving her real estate career and never looked back. She founded a fully-remote relocation company and in these short years, she’s been instrumental in helping more than 1000 people retire or live abroad across 35 different countries. She is an amazing writer, and is featured as a Top Writer on Medium in a variety of different topics including business, travel, tech and the digital nomad lifestyle.
She’s been featured in many of the major publications we all know of. We’re talking Bloomberg Businessweek, ESPN, Huffpost and The New York Times. We love her articles that are raw and honest, and challenge us to think outside the box when it comes to living a location independent lifestyle.
She’s travelled to over 60 countries herself and has more insight than a lot of us know what to do with.

Melody Thomas - Black Digital Nomad
Melody Thomas is the founder and author of Black Digital Nomad, a blog that inspires people of colour to become location independent. There’s a wealth of information on the website that is excellent for all digital nomads, but great for people of colour who are looking for an added layer of insight into the world of travel for minority groups.
Melody and her husband have been fully nomadic for the last few years and their blog gives us the deets in all of our favourite DN hotpots. She is a writer and a holistic health coach and you can find out more about these two lovelies on their website. Also, do have a listen to Jason Moore’s podcast with Melody as well.
Jason Moore - Zero To Travel
I’ve just mentioned him and it’s no surprise really because his website condenses 15 years worth of business, travel and nomadic lifestyle experience. He also has a young family so for those of you out there who have small humans in your lives or want them in the future, keep your eyes peeled!
The podcast is a treasure trove of information and Jason spends time interviewing great people from the digital nomadsphere and beyond! In fact our very own Diego Bejarano Gerke appeared on the podcast show! Have a listen to all of Jason’s incredible stories and insights via audio and check out his website for community resources and directories of all the digital nomad lifestyle staples.
