Adventures + Things To Do In Rio de Janeiro
The Marvellous City, Rio De Janeiro is world renowned for its carnival spirit, the beautiful beaches and the overriding zest for life. The rolling rainforests and hearty cuisine make this city a great all rounder for any digital nomad wanting a true taste of Latin America.
Get your swimwear on and head down to one of Rio’s glorious beaches. Ipanema and Copacabana are already famous for their vibrant beach parties, but Prainha beach offers a quieter retreat.
Move to the Beat
Rio is renowned for its nightlife culture. Let the samba rhythms of Lapa move you to new heights as you experience Rio after sundown.
Eat your Heart out
With so much delicious food to eat, your greatest challenge will be choosing what to have. Why not try the Brazilian version of a super food bowl Acai Na Tigela? Or for a chocolatey taste sensation, try a batch of Brigadeiro.
Get a cable car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain and get a perfect view of the ‘Christ the Redeemer’ statue as well as the lush rainforest.
Largest Street Art Murals in the World
Take in the formation of squares and triangles present in the work of Eduardo Kobra’s murals.
An Island Paradise
A couple of hours drive outside of Rio, you’ll find Ilha Grande, a picturesque island surrounded by perfect beach and clear lagoons. Take a few days to unwind away from the hustle of city living.
Take some time out of Rio and go on a road trip to see the Iguacu waterfalls. Cross one of the bridges that pass through the middle of the waterfalls and feel the sheer power of the water raging around you.
Take to the Skies
Hangliding is an extraordinary way to see the sights of the city. See Rio’s stand out monuments from an eagle’s perspective as you glide over limitless trees.
Land and Sea Adventure
Angra Dos Reis is the place to go for hiking and scuba diving enthusiasts. Hiking trails take you to hidden waterfalls inland and a boat trip out to sea will take you to some stunning scuba diving hotspots.
