Join us in Bansko, a cozy mountain town in the heart of the Pirin Mountains. This destination has become a popular hub for nomads with its blend of modern conveniences and rich cultural heritage. Hikes and outdoor activities is what Bansko is all about and the rolling mountain views bring a sense of calmness to the town - a great city life escape for the summer. We're kicking off our stay right after Bansko Nomadfest, transitioning into a Chapter of exploring rugged trails, savouring local culinary delights, and connecting with fellow nature-loving nomads.

1. Discover the Heart of Bansko
The locals aren't just welcoming hosts providing cozy accommodation for outdoorsy peeps like us; they're also skilled craftsmen, talented winemakers, sculptors, painters, fantastic cooks, and great storytellers! Let's wander through the cobblestone streets of Bansko together and live like a local.
2. Hike in Pirin National Park
Spend the day walking through the Pirin National Park. We'll be surrounded by mountains, lakes, and wildlife. From picnics in the park to horse riding adventures, there is something for everyone.
3. Rafting on the Struma River
Get your adrenaline pumping in the Struma River. With varying levels of difficulty, it caters to both beginners and experienced rafters.
4. Visit the Rila Monastery
This is a must-see cultural and historical site, about an hour's drive from Bansko. The monastery's architecture and art are stunning, and it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
5. Explore the Capital of Bulgaria
Sofia is just a few hours' drive from Bansko. It's a fabulous blend of history, culture, and modernity. Highlights include the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Vitosha Boulevard for shopping, and museums.
6. Chase Waterfalls at Vitosha
Just outside Sofia, you can take the ski lift to the top of Vitosha Mountain to hike past stunning views of the city and the beautiful Boyana Waterfall.
7. Taste the Wine
Bulgaria is known for its excellent wines and tasting it with the Tribe is a whole new VIBE! The occasion just hits differently when we're all together! The crew on our recent Buenos Aires Chapter did an Instagram Takeover and took us along for their day of wine-tasting if you want to check it out!
8. Visit the Black Sea
A slightly longer drive but worth it for an epic weekend trip at the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast: Cities like Burgas and Varna offer beautiful beaches, lively nightlife, and cultural attractions.

Conferences and festivals are great, but when when you roll in 20-Tribers deep, they become legendary. Bansko Nomadfest will be happening from June 23 - June 30 2024 making this Chapter the ideal month of all things nomadism! The Tribe, along with hundreds of other nomads, take over Bansko for a week of mindfulness, connecting and learning. If you've been wanting to go to Nomadfest but needed a few friends to join you, now is your chance.

Highlights
The Chapter will take place as Nomadfest comes to an end making this the perfect opportunity to extend your time here with the Tribe.
We're staying in a beautifully situated home with ideal common areas. It's a 15-minute walk to “downtown” - a small town that is super walkable, with plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants along the way. We are also very close to supermarkets and a gym.
Side note: Gaby and Karol found their favourite kebab place, and it's dangerously close to the property—but can you really have too many kebabs in Bansko?!
Good to Know
We will have full access to a great Co-work called “Nest Cowork” at no extra cost.
The property doesn’t have an AC, but due to Bansko being high in the mountains, while it can get warm in the sun, in the shade it doesn’t get above 24°C (75°F) during the day and it can get quite chilly at night at 13°C (55°F).
One of the most confusing things about visiting Bulgaria is that when a Bulgarian shakes their head, it actually means “OK” or “Yes”.

Bansko Chapter FAQs

If a Member cancels a Chapter booking at least ten weeks prior to the commencement of the Chapter, the Member shall receive a refund of amounts paid minus the deposit and the deposit shall be forfeited unless the booking was either made within the 48 hours prior to the cancellation request or the member recommitted to an early booking in which case the deposit shall be allowed to be applied to a future booking.
If a Member cancels a Chapter booking at least six weeks, but less than ten weeks, prior to the commencement of the Chapter, the Member shall receive a 50% refund of amounts paid minus the deposit and the deposit shall be forfeited unless the booking was either made within the 48 hours prior to the cancellation request or the member recommitted to an early booking in which case the deposit shall be allowed to be applied to a future booking.
If a Member cancels a Chapter booking less than six weeks prior to the commencement of the Chapter, the Member shall receive no refund whatsoever and the deposit shall be forfeited.
