Tbilisi

Georgia

May 30 - June 27, 2025

Tbilisi is a city steeped in history and culture. Its tasty food, wine culture, and traditions run deep, and in previous Chapters, the Tribe has really enjoyed getting to know the locals while living like locals as well. It is a hidden gem and a great place for nomads because of its easy-to-navigate vibes and plenty of options for co-working.

Experience Tbilisi with the Tribe

Pack your bags, grab your laptop, and get ready to experience an adventure-packed destination full of stunning landscapes, rich history, and vibrant culture. Tbilisi offers endless opportunities for exploration and inspiration - a Chapter destination dream come true!

1. Visit the Ancient Narikala Fortress

Narikala Fortress is an iconic landmark of Tbilisi, with stunning panoramic views of the city. The fortress dates back to the 4th century and is a must-visit for history buffs and adventure enthusiasts. You can hike up to the fortress or take a cable car.

2. Take a Sulfur Bath in Abanotubani

Abanotubani in Tbilisi is a hidden gem, offering naturally warm sulfur baths believed to have medicinal properties. A beloved destination for centuries, the traditional architecture and stunning views of the city make it a must-visit spot for a unique and rejuvenating experience.

3. Go to granny's cooking class!

"I will show you how to cook khachapuri "Adjaruli" according to an old recipe of the families in Adjara (Georgian region). It is a famous Georgian boat-shaped cheese pie with egg yolk in the center."

4. Enjoy All the Georgian Cuisine

If you're a foodie, you'll love Georgia! Local restaurants and cafes serve loads of traditional Georgian dishes, such as khachapuri (cheese-filled bread) and khinkali (dumplings) and you can find really affordable options.

5.  Explore the Old Town

Tbilisi's Old Town is a charming neighborhood with narrow streets, colorful houses, and traditional Georgian architecture. You can wander around the Old Town and discover hidden gems, such as the Marionette Theatre and the Rezo Gabriadze Clock Tower.

6. Say Wine?! Take a Wine Tour

Georgia is one of the oldest wine-producing countries in the world, and taking a wine tour is a great way to experience Georgian wine culture. You can visit vineyards, taste different wines, and learn about the winemaking process.

7. Hike to the Mtkvari River Canyon

The Mtkvari River Canyon is a beautiful natural wonder that is located just outside of Tbilisi. After a scenic 3-hour journey, you can hike to the canyon and enjoy stunning views of the river and surrounding landscape.

8. Visit the Chronicles of Georgia

The Chronicles of Georgia is a must-visit cultural center in Tbilisi, offering breathtaking murals that tell the story of the country's rich history. From the conversion to Christianity to the country's independence, the Chronicles of Georgia is a fascinating and immersive experience that shouldn't be missed.

Highlights

We are staying in trendy neighbourhood called Vake and Vera! These areas are particularly popular because of their beautiful parks and close proximity to some of the country’s top universities.

Vake is known as Tbilisi’s “posh” suburb, with plenty of wide footpaths and leafy green spaces to explore - including the lovely Mziuri Park. And if you’re a foodie, you’ll be in heaven in Vake, as there are dozens of breakfast cafes, restaurants, and bars to choose from! The real star of the show, though, is Vake Park - a massive green space with walking and cycling paths, as well as a large Soviet-style memorial.

All of the rooms have air conditioning, an ensuite bathroom, a desk with a chair, a flat-screen TV, and a personal mini-fridge.

There is the option to upgrade.

Good to Know

Tbilisi is not a super cohesive city, meaning there are several central or popular neighborhoods but they are not close to each other. The location we are staying in is pretty trendy and wonderfully green, but we are not in the historic downtown. The historic downtown is accessible by bus (25min) or a quick Bolt ride (Uber-like ride-share service) which is pretty affordable (around 5 euros).

If you’re someone who likes to stay active, Vake has plenty of sports complexes, gyms, and indoor swimming pools to choose from. And if you’re up for a bit of adventure, be sure to check out the urban hiking trails near Turtle Lake - they’re absolutely stunning!

Our home features a covered and fully furnished rooftop terrace, an indoor dining room, and a fully outfitted kitchen. Perfect for putting your feet up and chilling with the Tribe.

The property has four floors and an elevator.

What classifies as a room upgrade?

We have three amenity categories we look at when selecting the upgrade rooms:

  • Functionality: desk, chair, kitchen, ensuite bathroom, privacy, AC, kitchenette or kitchen, fridge, walk-in closet or extra storage space etc.
  • How it looks: balcony, terrace, views, size of room, size of bed, windows/natural light, decor, living room or seating area, couch, coffee table, mirror etc.
  • Mixed: When possible, the room shares some of both of the above.
  • Securing the upgrade guarantees that you get the amenities you've paid for.
  • Upgrades that have not been secured will be assigned to members based on a number of different factors by the host (order of booking, circle level, etc.)
  • If all rooms have a particular amenity such as AC we do not offer upgrades for that particular
