We've called Italy home over and over again, but this time, we're trying something different! For our next month-long Chapter in Italy, we're heading to Gizzeria, a small Arbëreshë commune and town in Catanzaro, Calabria (home to a unique Albanian-Italian heritage), right on the Tyrrhenian Sea. Picture this: incredible beaches with crystal clear water, compact buildings on towering cliff sides, and authentic Southern Italian charm with a cultural twist.
New to WiFi Tribe? A Chapter is a month of co-living & co-working with 15-25 remote professionals and entrepreneurs. You'll arrive in a new city with an instant community of inspiring, like-minded friends to do life with (deep work on weekdays, daily hangouts, shared dinners, big adventures on weekends). Your social life is an automatic 10/10, but you choose your pace and set your schedule. And by the end, you'll leave with friends you keep traveling with for years.
Everything is co-created – NOT a tour group, a community. Most members are seasoned solo travellers who want a more connected, fun and meaningful global lifestyle – a social life that travels with them. This Chapter is all about connection and focus, giving us the space to switch gears, truly relax, sink into deep work, and immerse ourselves in nature. We'll hunker down in an exclusive-use coliving resort that's only minutes from the beach, enjoying a little slice of Italian coastal paradise all to ourselves.
When the work week is done, it's time to explore the greater Southern Italy region. Short trips to coastal towns like Tropea, aka the Jewel of Calabria, and the fishing village of Scilla promise lazy beach hangs alongside dramatic cliff sides, while a trip to Pizzo takes us to the birthplace of the famous tartufo gelato. Craving a city escape? Short flights will take us to Naples, Palermo, or Lecce.

Gizzeria is Italy's best-kept secret, and we're bringing WiFi Tribe to this stunning Calabrian coastal gem! This Chapter is going to be the perfect blend of relaxation, productive, and adventure, with plenty of great food on offer, incredible nature to soak up, and loads of ops to explore Southern Italy's most authentic landscapes.
1. Become a Kitesurfing Pro
Gizzeria is a world-renowned kitesurfing destination, and if you're curious about kiting, this is definitely the time to take a few lessons or refine your kite craft!
2. Hang Out at Hang Loose Beach
This popular seaside sports park and beach bar is an absolute must! Go kitesurfing, windsurfing, stand-up paddle-boarding, or simply chill on the beach!
3. Indulge in Calabrian Cuisine
Foodies are in for a treat! Beyond authentic Italian dishes, indulge in Calabrian specialties like 'nduja and fileja, pairing your meals with local Calabrian wines.
4. Discover Arbëreshë Heritage
Discover the local traditions of the Arbëreshë community, and sample unique Albanian-Italian cuisine found nowhere else in the world.
5. Visit the Gorgeous Town of Tropea
About an hour from Gizzeria, head to the town of Tropea to relax on Rotonda Beach, explore the caves of Grotta dell'Isola, and wander through the historic center.
6. Explore the Fishing Village of Pizzo
A 45-minute drive from Gizzeria, Pizzo has plenty on offer! Try the famous Tartufo di Pizzo, explore the beaches, and enjoy a spot of snorkeling.
7. Spend a Weekend in the City
Hop on a plane and head to nearby destinations like Palermo, Naples, Milan, and Rome. Opt for a train journey and see more of the countryside!
8. Hike Your Heart Out
10,000 steps never looked so good! Explore Gizzeria's nearby hiking trails and scenic coastal walks, or, head to the UNESCO biosphere reserve of Sila National Park.

Hey there! I’m Nikki, and a few years ago, I left sunny + surfy San Diego, California, to embark on nomad life. Incredible destinations, lovely people, and wisdom-sprouting adventures have peppered and punctuated my travels around the world. I’m passionate about food (cooking, eating, culinary lore, scouting foodie gems in new cities), all things aquatic – and I'm a writer who loves listening to others' stories just as much as telling her own.
There’s something electric about bringing people together who deeply care about community – and I’m here to support you in enriching your own travel experiences, cultivating new connections, and discovering life along the way.

Highlights
We're calling Gizzeria home for a month-long Chapter! This small commune sits within the Catanzaro province of Calabria in southern Italy. With the gorgeous Tyrrhenian Sea on our doorstep, we'll spend time in nature, laze on the beach, and take advantage of the fun activities on offer like kitesurfing, windsurfing, mountain biking, stand-up paddle-boarding, and hiking!
For this Chapter, our coliving home is something totally different, and extremely cool. For the first time, we're taking over an entire resort for a full Tribe Takeover!
The resort is out of this world, and promises ample peace and relaxation. We'll be staying in beautifully designed, modern cottages that are built entirely from eco-sustainable materials. Each cottage is surrounded by lush, green gardens, and our resort has a beautiful view of the ocean. Most rooms come with A/C.
There are a collection of cottages, double/twin rooms, and a family room. All of the standard cottages as well as the family cottage have a dining area; only the family cottage has a living room.
At our disposal, we have a stunning pool, a dedicated coworking space, a gym-style outdoor workout area, and plenty of open-air lounges for chill sessions and deep chats with the Tribe.
The onsite restaurant will stay open, giving us easy access to delicious meals and family dinners when we don’t feel like cooking. It’s the only space that will be open to the public.
Good to Know
While we'll be spending majority of our weekday time in and around the Gizzeria commune, weekends will take us to nearby towns where we'll soak up more of the southern Italy charm. If you're craving a big city feel, major cities are only a short flight or train ride away!
There is good transport within the region, with Lamezia Terme International Airport and a sizeable train station nearby, so moving between Gizzeria and other towns or cities is manageable. Plus, we'll likely hire a couple of cars for exploring nearby towns and adventuring on weekend trips.
Gizzeria is a relatively affordable destination compared to other Italian cities.
We're close to the beach and green spaces so we'll have plenty of access to nature-based activities.
From our coliving accommodation, we have access to a private shuttle that'll take us to and from the beach, where we've got our own dedicated spot at the local beach bar!
While Gizzeria is safer than a large city in Italy, it is still advised to practice caution with belongings.
This coliving accommodation is ultra luxe and super private. This Chapter is best suited for someone who wants to switch gears, slow down, and spend time in a beautiful setting with friends. If you're craving a focused deep work period, love being surrounded by nature, enjoy more of a peaceful Chapter experience, or want to connect deeply with Tribers on Chapter, this trip is for you.

Gizzeria Chapter FAQs

Chapter Payments (please be aware of the changes for all Chapters):
- Booking requests will receive a link to finalize your booking to pay the full Chapter price payment
- The final full payment is due 8 weeks prior to the Chapter starting. (Note: this means you’ll have from the time of booking until 8 weeks out to submit the full Chapter payment)
- If your full payment is not received 8 weeks before the Chapter start date, your deposit will be forfeited and spot will be given to the next person on the waitlist
- Bookings made less than 8 weeks before the Chapter start date will pay the full Chapter price at booking
Cancellations (please be aware of the new policy for trips):
The following cancellation policy applies:
- Once the final price and accommodation details are announced, early bookers have 7 days to recommit to their booking. Otherwise, the deposit is released for a future booking.
- You have a 48-hour grace period to cancel a trip booking and not forfeit your deposit. If a booking is cancelled within 48 hours, the deposit will be released for a future trip.
- Cancelling 6+ weeks before arrival: 100% refund of the trip payment. Your deposit is forfeited if you recommitted to an early booking or if you didn’t cancel within the 48-hour grace period. Otherwise, the deposit is released for a future booking.
- Cancelling 4-6 weeks before arrival: 50% refund of the trip payment. Your deposit is forfeited if you recommitted to an early booking or if you didn’t cancel within the 48-hour grace period. Otherwise, the deposit is released for a future booking.
- Cancelling less than 4 weeks before arrival: No refund. Your deposit is forfeited if you recommitted to an early booking or if you didn’t cancel within the 48-hour grace period. Otherwise, the deposit is released for a future booking.
Closest airport: Lamezia Terme International Airport (SUF)
In the Chapter's Slack channel before arrival, members often coordinate transportation to our homes together. You'll receive our address 4 weeks from the Chapter's start date.
