Siargao Island

March 19 - April 16, 2027

Last Spots

We're heading to Siargao Island in the Philippines for the very first time! Legendary surf breaks and beautiful beaches await us, island hopping will be a regular occurrence, and we've got plenty of adventures in store! Plus, we're heading to Siargao at the best time of year, so the weather will be perfect!

A small island in the Philippines, palm-tree-covered Siargao is home to some of the most beautiful beaches and world-famous surf spots in the world. With all of the creature comforts we need and plenty of adventures to keep us happy, the island is small enough that nothing feels far, yet diverse enough that every day offers something completely different!

New to WiFi Tribe? A Chapter is a month of co-living & co-working with 15-25 remote professionals and entrepreneurs. You'll arrive in a new city with an instant community of inspiring, like-minded friends to do life with (deep work on weekdays, daily hangouts, shared dinners, big adventures on weekends). Your social life is an automatic 10/10, but you choose your pace and set your schedule. And by the end, you'll leave with friends you keep traveling with for years.

Everything is co-created – NOT a tour group, a community. Most members are seasoned solo travellers who want a more connected, fun and meaningful global lifestyle – a social life that travels with them. Everyone is values-vetted (only 17% of applicants are accepted) to make sure you'll find your kind of people here. Our vibes: be kind, be bold, stay humble.

"I heard about Wifi Tribe from a remote coworker, and it sounded like an amazing answer to so many of the problems I had with traveling alone. I took the leap and decided to try it out. I joined and did my first chapter in Peru this year, which was absolutely incredible. The community aspect is honestly the best part for me, I loved getting to bond with a group of new people so quickly." - Danielle, Triber

During the weeks we'll cowork from gorgeous beachfront cafés in the main hub of General Luna, sipping on plenty of fresh coconuts. With the beach just a short seven minute walk away, surf breaks and lazy ocean chills will be part of our daily to-do lists. When laptops shut, we'll hop on scooters and explore more of the island, finding hidden beaches like Secret and Pacifico.

Our weekends are straight out of a daydream. We’ll island-hop the famous Three Islands, swim in the turquoise waters of Sugba Lagoon's pools, explore the mystical Sohoton Cove (cliff jumping allowed!), discover Magpupungko's natural rock pools, kayak through the serene waters of the Maasin River mangroves, and take day trips to Bucas Grande Islands for more adventures.

Experience Siargao Island with the Tribe

Experience the magic of the Philippines! Picture a month of surf sessions at legendary breaks, beach chills and island-hopping, sipping on fresh coconuts and feasting on tropical eats, all while embracing that laid-back island vibe with your Tribe family.

1. Surf Your Heart Out

Siargao is a surfers' dream, with countless spots to explore! Advanced surfers should conquer the legendary Cloud 9, the surf break that put Siargao on the map!

2. Go Island Hopping

White sand, clear water, and fresh seafood; we're spending a day hopping between Daku and Guyam, and of course, Naked Island (a sandbar in the middle of the ocean)!

3. Grab Wheels and Explore the Island

Rent a motorbike or scooter and cruise along the palm-lined roads. Discover hidden beaches like Pacifico and Secret Beach, local villages, and epic viewpoints.

4. Swim in a Hidden Lagoon

Surrounded by mangroves, Sugba Lagoon looks like a scene from a fairy tale. Swim, kayak, and paddleboard across the calm water. Don't forget your GoPro!

5. Indulge in Siargao's Tropical Food Scene

Siargao's food scene is incredible! We'll feast on fresh seafood, sip coconuts, try Filipino classics like sisig and adobo, and order too many smoothie bowls from Shaka.

6. Explore the Maasin River Mangroves

A breathtaking spot, where a turquoise river is framed by palm trees, we'll spend a day kayaking, paddle boarding, or playing around on the famous palm tree swing.

7. Take a Day Trip to the Bucas Grande Islands

We'll venture to the nearby Bucas Grande for a full day of island adventures: Sohoton Lagoon, Hagukan Cave, Tojoman Lagoon, and the Stingless Jellyfish Sanctuary.

8. Explore Beyond Siargao

The gap week opportunities are endless! Head to Palawan's El Nido for island-hopping and shipwreck diving, or Cebu for whale sharks and waterfalls.

Highlights

We're calling Siargao Island home for a month-long Chapter! This legendary surf island has everything we need for an epic month together: tropical vibes, perfect weather, stunning beaches with mad surf breaks, loads of fresh coconuts, and an all-round easy-going island lifestyle!

Siargao's main hub, General Luna, will be our home base. We're in an epic location, a short seven-minute walk to beachfront cafés for morning work sessions, plus the whole island is easily accessible by scooter, perfect for accessing those epic surf spots.

Our coliving setup is pure perfection. We're taking over two gorgeous properties: a larger main house with a pool and generous shared spaces, plus 2 additional neighbouring villas. The larger main house has a pool and awesome shared spaces, perfect for coworking, Tribe hangs, and poolside chill sessions. This will likely become our main hangout and coworking hub. The two neighbouring properties are just short walks away.

All of the properties have beautiful gardens (hello, private tropical jungle vibes!). Each bedroom includes an A/C, essential for the warm island days and nights. Most rooms have desks and chairs, great for private calls or solo work sprints.

This is definitely a beach and island adventure Chapter! Life here moves at island pace: morning swims before work, focused work blocks, midday surf or beach sessions, and afternoons exploring more of the surrounding areas. Everything's within easy scooter distance, and we'll be renting wheels to properly explore everything that Siargao Island has to offer.

Get ready for the ultimate blend of fitness, wellness, high productivity, epic adventures in Taipei and surrounds, and that community energy that makes everything more fun!

Good to Know

This is a FIT Chapter! Riley, a dedicated personal trainer, is embedded with our group for the entire month to help build sustainable healthy habits: think run clubs, daily workouts, mobility sessions, and step challenges, balanced with bar nights and pizza because wellness doesn't mean restriction! It's not a boot camp; it's about building habits that actually stick.

You might want to rent a motorbike or scooter. The island is small (you can cross it in 30-40 minutes) but areas aren't walkable from each other and getting wheels means you're able to explore freely. You can easily hop into a ticycle (motorized rickshaw) for shorter trips around General Luna, or you can arrange motorcycle taxis for getting around. Having your own wheels gives you the most flexibility, but there are options if you're not comfortable riding alone!

Siargao is very safe and crime is low. Standard travel awareness applies: watch your belongings at the beach and don't leave valuables on unattended motorbikes.

English is widely spoken.

Cost of living in Siargao is incredibly affordable, and even beachfront dining won't break the bank. Island-hopping tours, surf lessons, and activities are all reasonably priced too, especially compared to Western destinations.

We're hitting Siargao at the perfect time! Mid March to mid April is dry season so we'll have gorgeous weather with temperatures around 27-32°C (81-90°F). It's hot and humid, so pack light, breathable clothes, plenty of reef-safe sunscreen, and mosquito repellent for evenings. This is also prime surf season with consistent swells!

Island life means embracing a slower pace: Electricity can be unreliable with occasional power outages, so charge devices when you can. That being said, our main property is top-notch, fitted with a back-up generator and solar to avoid any disruptions to work. Plus, your host will also have a trusty MiFi device for back up internet.
