Nicaragua
San Juan del Sur
January 8 - February 5, 2027
Limited Spots
Laid-back beach vibes await in our next Tribe trip! We're heading to the warm and peaceful shores of San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua, an old fishing town turned travel hotspot, where natural beauty is at every turn. World-class surf breaks are scattered along the coast, while dramatic volcanoes and wildlife reserves promise epic day and weekend trips.
New to WiFi Tribe? A Chapter is a month of co-living & co-working with 15-25 remote professionals and entrepreneurs. You'll arrive in a new city with an instant community of inspiring, like-minded friends to do life with (deep work on weekdays, daily hangouts, shared dinners, big adventures on weekends). Your social life is an automatic 10/10, but you choose your pace and set your schedule. And by the end, you'll leave with friends you keep traveling with for years.
Everything is co-created – NOT a tour group, a community. Most members are seasoned solo travellers who want a more connected, fun and meaningful global lifestyle – a social life that travels with them. Everyone is values-vetted (only 17% of applicants are accepted) to make sure you'll find your kind of people here. Our vibes: be kind, be bold, stay humble.
"When I joined WiFi Tribe in 2021, I was looking for others who traveled the way I did. Those who work remotely, give more than they take, and have an open energy seeking genuine connection with people. WFT has delivered that in a way that I never imagined. On these trips, I regularly create deeper connections than I did when I lived somewhere full time." - Christos, Triber
Adventure lovers, get ready! In San Juan del Sur, the surf is unmatched, with plenty of ops for newbies to take lessons. ATV tours and ziplining through the jungle will keep thrill-seekers busy, while hikes (such as to Mirador del Cristo de la Misericordia) offer splendid views, and horseback rides on the beach are perfect ways to enjoy the sunrise or sunset.
With reliable wifi, beachfront workspaces, coworking-friendly cafes, loads of yummy street food, weekly farmers markets, welcoming locals, and an incredible nomad community, San Juan del Sur brings remote work and tropical adventure together in one epic, not-to-be-missed destination.

Highlights
We'll be kicking it at the seaside all month long, spending our days coworking and chasing waves or sunsets.
Our coliving homes are three large properties. The first two are luxury villas situated right next to each other. These both have jaw-droppingly beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding mountains, as well as stunning, spacious communal areas.
Our third property is a short walk to the beach, and while it has a more modest setup, it has several awesome outdoor spaces and is unbeatable value!
On weekends, we'll have the opportunity to explore more of the incredible country of Nicaragua and venture out to epic destinations that are just a few hours away. We're talking about volcano hikes, lake swims, plenty of thrilling activities for serious adrenaline junkies, surfing up a storm, or simply hopping from beach to beach.
Good to Know
San Juan del Sur is generally safe, but petty theft, such as bag snatching, can happen. Make sure you have adequate goods insurance. Don't leave your valuables unattended, and ideally, avoid walking alone at night or stick to well-lit areas.
Although card payments are accepted, many smaller shops, hostels, and restaurants only accept cash, so it's best to keep some on you at all times.
Although tap water is treated and safe to drink, some travelers may prefer to stick to bottled water.
San Juan del Sur is perfectly walkable as the town is relatively small. Some may want to rent a scooter or bicycle to get around. Uber is not available, but there are taxis. Some shuttles and buses move between San Juan del Sur and the nearby beaches, including Playa Maderas and Playa Hermosa.
Add insect repellant and reef-safe sunscreen to your packing list.

San Juan Del Sur doesn't have a dedicated airport. You'll need to fly into one of the nearby airports and take a taxi or shuttle to the town.
