1. Explore the Thermal Baths
Budapest's famous thermal baths, like Széchenyi and Rudas Thermal Baths, are a popular place to relax and unwind.
2. Take a Boat Tour on the Danube
A boat tour is a great way to see the city from a different perspective and get a feel for its layout.
3. Visit Margaret Island
This beautiful island in the middle of the Danube is a popular spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
4. Explore the Jewish Qarter
The Jewish Quarter is a vibrant and trendy neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and clubs to explore.
5. Hike & Cycle the Hungarian Countryside
Hungary has a beautiful and diverse landscape, with rolling hills, forests, and lakes - perfect for outdoorsy activities.
6. Try Traditional Hungarian Cuisine
Hungarian food is hearty and flavorful, with popular dishes like goulash, chicken paprikash, and strudel.
7. Visit Lake Balaton
Not far from Budapest, this largest lake in Central Europe offers volcanic hills, protected wetlands, and hiking trails.
8. Take a Day Trip to Visegrád or Esztergom
Castles and hiking and cathedrals - oh my! Don't miss out on these gorgeous towns just a short car or train ride away.
Tick another country off your list over the weekend!
On our last Chapter, the Tribe took a weekend trip to Slovenia that was planned and executed within a single week. A few led charge and everyone chipped in where they could to create an unforgettable experience.
Tribers checking out Lake Bled in Slovenia. It has a tiny tear-shaped island in the middle of the water with a church dating back as far as the 17th century.

Highlights
We're staying in Nagykörút, the 'Grand Boulevard' right in the heart of Budapest. It's got a bit of everything - history and culture with all the modern amenities of a popular city. Around beautiful old buildings are cafes and coworking spots with fast wifi where we'll be hanging out to get sh!t done. We can keep things central or use public transport to explore other parts of the city. Whether you're into checking out the sights, trying local food, or learning about the city's past this Chapter is the perfect mix of work and play.
There are thousands of restaurants and bars in the area where we are staying, so this chapter will appeal especially to city lovers and people who love being close to the action!
Good to Know
There is no AC on the properties but the temperature is on average a very comfortable 74°F (23 celsius) , rarely falling below 64°F (17 celsius). All rooms will have fans.
All apartments have a wash machine.
We have 5 apartments all in separate buildings and all 3-6 min walk from each other. The 2 apartments that are furthest from one another is 9 min walk. All apartments have a big dining room/living room and a separate fully equipped kitchen.
Meet the Chapter Host
Joanna
My name is JoJo and I’ve been a happy triber since 2021. After 10 incredible chapters, I’m beyond thrilled to dive even deeper into this community as a host! I was born and raised on Long Island, NY (Mets fan, of course) but am now based out of Atlanta, GA. My love for travel (and obsession with the U.K.) started with my wonderfully cliched study abroad experience in England. I’ve worked in social media strategy for a few years and am now focusing my career on community building. I love embracing my nerdiness, dance parties, road trips, game nights, scary amounts of caffeine, and cheap whisky.
