reunion

MauritiuS

Feb 11 - Mar 11, 2022

A reunion Chapter has been on our minds for years. Too many times life has gotten in the way of crossing paths with our besties, but that stops now.

You heard that right, a reunion Chapter has arrived. For those who have been with the Tribe from the start (or have been joined so many Chapters it's as if they've been here forever), let's reunite for a month of cuddle puddles, stories that start with "remember when", and new adventures that we'll reminisce about at the next reunion.

We're celebrating our global family in style, taking over Mauritius and its sapphire waters and powder-white beaches. This community exists because of you, now it's time to revel in how far we've come.

Experience Mauritius with the Tribe

Take on Mauritius with the Tribe and discover a new side to the island life. Open your mind to the cocreated community experiences, adventures, and classic WiFi Tribe moments that'll make our time here one of a kind.

Explore hidden beaches and lagoons

From tropical beaches to turquoise waters and coral coastlines. Connect with mother nature through the magical ocean, cruising on a traditional sail boat and swimming with dolphins.

Witness unforgettable sunsets

This month everything is going to be about reunion. Not the island that is around the corner. The reunion of old friends wanting to foster deeper bonds. People that are present in the moment and value your company.

A water lover’s dream with a plethora of experiences to try

Whatever level you are – a fully-fledged expert or a beginner needing a new adrenaline rush looking for their next big adventure, Mauritius is perfect. Many of the resorts offer a fabulous range from kayaking and snorkelling to the more active sailing and kitesurfing. Certain waters around the island offer better opportunities for different sports, go and check them out with your favourite Tribe friends.

Get your adrenaline going in Domine de l'Etoile national park

Indigenous forests, pastures, luxuriant valleys and crystalline rivers. The national parks surroundings can be enjoyed in a number of ways, either at a gentle pace or through some high adrenaline activities.

Port Louis, a must for an insight into the real Mauritius

Sampling local street food at the Central Market, wandering in between the colorful alleyways of Chinatown, admiring street arts and visiting historic landmarks are among the best things to do over here.

Meet the Chapter Host

Diego

A co-founder of WiFi Tribe, Diego is our original Chapter Host. His passion for life is infectious, he never misses a chance to bring people together to live their best lives together.

A master in the kitchen, he's been whipping up his famous omelettes & caipirinhas for everyone on his Chapters for the last 5 years. When outside of the Chapter house, you'll catch him doing flips on the beach (that's Diego upside down) and talking all things community and marketing.

Our Home in Mauritius

Highlights

Our 5 villas are located in Flic en Flac, the nearby public beach is the longest white sand beach on the island and it's a popular spot for water sports due to the calmer waters.

Each villa has small and large common areas, a washer, and a fully-stocked kitchen. All bedrooms have a private bathroom, some are ensuite and others are in the hallway.

One villa has a private pool and garden, there's also a shared pool and tennis court in the complex. Plus we can use the clubhouse and fitness center for our sweat sessions.

Good to Know

The property has a free shared shuttle from 9am - 5pm to that goes to the public beach and the surrounding coastal restaurants and bars, it's about a 5 minute drive.

We're about a 20 minute walk to the nearest grocery store and the popular Tamarin beach is a 15 minute drive.

To discover more of the island, some members might choose to rent a car for a few days to get around.

Mauritius Reunion Chapter FAQs

Find all general booking FAQs here and Chapter-specific information below.

What is a reunion Chapter?

A reunion Chapter is just like a regular Chapter: we'll stay productive through the week, gather for Tribal Tuesday, explore our home base, and adventure on the weekends. Every ounce of bonding, adventure, and embracing the unknown will be there.

What's different is the make up of the Tribe on Chapter. Usually there's a balance of new and long-time members on the ground, but at a reunion you want to see familiar faces and reconnect with old friends. That's why reunion Chapters bookings are reserved for Nomads, Citizens, and Veterans (figure out your membership level here). That's the main difference, all the things we love about Chapters remain.
