Mexico City has something for everyone, which works perfectly for our community. World-class museums and Art Deco architecture for the history buffs and art aficionados, street-side and gourmet restaurants for the culinary adventurous, and a sprawling city filled with just about everything in between for all of us. Our homes in La Condesa will fit in nicely with our productive vibes during the week, the never-ending cafe culture keeping us busy in-between exploring the parks, restaurants, and shops that surround us. Side trips to ancient canals and quaint, historical cities plus hot air balloon rides to see ruins from above will make our weekends fly by. Join the Tribe in Mexico City to experience a bustling city with a crew who's just as keen to explore it.
Experience Mexico City with the Tribe
Take on CDMX with the Tribe and discover a new side to this sprawling city. Open your mind to the cocreated community experiences, adventures, and classic WiFi Tribe moments that'll make our time here one of a kind.
Become a local in our new neighborhood
Our coliving homes are in La Condesa, a neighborhood known for being a popular spot for stylish 30-somethings, artists, and young professionals. It's no wonder this is where we'll find a bounty of curated cafes, restaurants, museums, and boutiques in Art Deco buildings down every street. In between Zoom meetings, let's stroll down the tree-lined avenues, bike through España park, and try all the best brunches in our new backyard.
Boat down canals & soar above ruins
Each about an hour away, Xochimilco is where we'll find boats (or trajineras), traditional floating gardens (or chinampas), and options to pick up fresh-made food and juices while touring the canals. Teotihuicán takes us above sea level in hot air balloons to view some of the oldest ruins in the Americas from the sky at sunrise.
Stop by San Miguel de Allende for a weekend
Take a 4-hour bus ride to San Miguel de Allende for a seriously quaint weekend. Mornings spent at cute coffee spots like Lavanda Cafe, then touring churches, view points, and markets, or picnics at Parque Benito Juarez in the afternoon. At night we'll dive into curbside tacos and the bustling restaurant scene to cap off the weekend trip.
Immerse ourselves in foodie heaven
Mexico is practically synonymous with good food and its capital city is no exception. The usual suspects like tacos, tamales, esquites, and tlacoyos are found from street vendors to tasting menus. We'll grab extra churros from Churrería El Moro for a surprise breakfast treat and try our best at testing out all of the restaurants on our lists.
Meet the Chapter Host
Hailing from Colorado, Joe has a passion for helping others. He worked for a social change accelerator helping nonprofits and social enterprises positively impact communities in the US and assisted companies in Sri Lanka to modernize their operations.
If that sounds like he'd have lots of stories to fill a memoir, you're right. Joe is busy getting it all on paper, in between milkshake breaks and joining the Tribe on epic Chapter adventures.
Our Homes in Mexico City
7-person home: photos coming soon
Our coliving home is in La Condesa, a neighborhood with a bohemian, artsy vibe and plenty of cafes, restaurants, and specialty stores.
We're staying across an 7-bedroom renovated neocolonial home and multiple 3-4 bedrooms apartments, all are just 5 minutes walking from each other. Some accommodations have bathrooms that are ensuite and others are in the hallway.
Each apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, and a comfy living room with a dining table for coworking.
Good to Know
Our apartments don't have air conditioning, but each has lots of windows to properly ventilate the space.
One apartment's elevator is currently being repaired and we'll be staying on the 6th floor. There is a chance it won't be fixed by the time we arrive.
