Let's face it: we love living differently, but sometimes packing up our bags again makes us groan. When we're tired of researching Airbnbs in between meetings and being "on" all the time, settling in somewhere for a while is a nice change of pace. It's a chance to slow down, finally feel caught up again, and just appreciate staying in a beautiful place for a little longer.
We're trying something new.
Coliving in Puerto Escondido is for taking a breather; it's a break from big decisions and scrambling to do ALL the things. We'll have more time to explore every corner of this beach town and leave time to chill out and reset, catch up on life and work, and actually settle in for a change.
Be part of the beta test and help shape the next evolution of WiFi Tribe.

Puerto Escondido is the perfect little community...it's small enough where you get familiar with your surroundings quickly and at the same time it is close enough to a lot of off the beaten track adventures.

Some of my most important business development moments of the month were from unplanned conversations with other Tribers, workshopping and just talking over ideas.

Watching the sunset every night with the group was a magical experience I will cherish. We built a beautiful ritual together in a very short amount of time.

Create a Home Base in Puerto Escondido
Puerto Escondido took over the remote worker scene recently and there's no turning back. Between the good vibes, pretty good conectivity, tropical weather, and easy beach access, there aren't a whole lot of reasons to not set up a home base in this no-frills beach town.
Everyone together, under one roof
Perfect for being social when you want and finding alone time when you need to recharge.
Easy spots to hang all around us
The beach is right there and our coliving house has a pool, no planning required to hang as a Tribe all day.
Find a laidback lifestyle
This is a rugged beach town where life is supposed to feel less stressful to make room for all the good vibes.
It's just so hard to leave
Combine an active digital nomad community with a beautiful location and it's tough to not want to settle in.

Highlights
Our coliving home is in Brisas de Zicatela (also called La Punta in town), with multiple cafes for coworking a walk away, plenty of restaurants on the main street, and a pristine beach is close by.
There are 11 private and shared bedrooms available, each with a different setup. See additional room upgrades under the pricing section below.
The property has an untraditional setup, with open air common areas on the ground floor and a large kitchen, indoor coworking area (or hang area when we're off the clock) on the 2nd floor. There's also a pool with loungers and multiple hangout areas outside.
Good to Know
La Punta has recently become more popular and the neighborhood will feel even more lively with busy nightlife compared to our past times here.
Playa Zicatela and its restaurants, cafes, and bars are a short cab ride away or a 20 minute walk when the sun isn't too hot.
Puerto Escondido can have power and internet outages given it's remote, coastal location. Backup 4G will help, but if your job relies heavily on video calls, these unpredictable outages may cause unnecessary stress.
What to Expect Coliving With the Tribe
The Tribe will create shared "house rules" and handle any issues with the accommodations or WiFi with our local contacts. There won’t be a dedicated Host on the ground.
It's a smaller, more intimate group where everyone will live under one roof, there will be lots of catching up with familiar faces over home-cooked dinners.
The vibe, as always, is community-centric; everyone pitches in to plan game nights, weekend adventures, and daily sunset rituals to make our time together unforgettable.
Our 8 Favorite Adventures in
Puerto Escondido
Puerto Escondido has recently become a popular spot for remote workers and it's easy to see why. The town's laidback lifestyle and epic eats makes life so enjoyable while more off-the-beaten-path adventures are just a ride away.
1. Hit the beach (and bring an umbrella)
We're a 7-min walk to the beach in La Punta and there are many more sandy spots to explore around town.
2. Sample the freshest fruit and fish
It's a perk of being on the water and in tropical weather, and the fish tacos from Fish Shack can't be missed.
3. Help hatchlings find their way
Release baby turtles from Playa Bacocho and watch the little guys and gals push themselves to the sea.
4. Watch incredible sunsets every night
Watching the sunset every night isn't overkill when the clouds and waves make the colors different each time.
5. See the laguna light up at night
Laguna de Manialtepec is a popular bioluminescence spot, we can explore by boat, kayak, or paddleboard.
6. Scoot around Mazunte and Zipolite
Spend the weekend south of Puerto Escondido and discover 2 more rustic beach towns that won't disappoint.
7. Catch an art installation with a view
Casa Wabi sits 45 minutes away and is home to a rotating mix of acclaimed artist's exhibits with a spectacular view.
8. Get creative with tribal competition
Our coliving house and nearby beach are perfect for hosting friendly competitions outside.

Colives are about staying in a home away from home for months at a time and the reset that comes with it. Take a breather from making big decisions about where you’ll live next, unpack your things and let your bags gather dust for a change, get back into some good habits and routines, and spend time with a family of familiar faces who are settling in for a while too.
On Chapters there’s more urgency to feel, see, and taste everything in 4 weeks and dive headfirst into getting closer with new friends. On Colives, the vibe is more about chilling out with a more intimate group of the friends who we met on Chapters and now feel like family, spreading out our weekend adventures so there’s still time to relax, and appreciating a break from the stresses that come with always being on the go. The coliving setup will be just as community-centric as a Chapter. Like always, everyone will pitch in to plan game nights, weekend adventures, and epic BBQs to make our time together unforgettable.
The Tribe on Colives will also create shared rules and guidelines for living together and handle any issues with the accommodations or wifi directly with our local contacts as there won’t be a dedicated Host on the ground while we’re there.
The community will help steer the direction of our future Colive setups by sharing your thoughts and ideas. Experienced members who love being early adopters have unique insights into making this setup the best it can be, so save a spot in Mexico if:
- You’ve joined at least 1 Chapters before (we're testing this for the remaining 2022 Colive setups)
- You’re an early adopter who is ready to give feedback before, during, and after the Colive. Maybe you’ve thought about how our travels together could be improved before and now want a chance to share your thoughts.
- You’re unfazed by small logistical issues if something doesn’t go to plan
- You want to experience the benefits of slower travel, whether you already live this way or want to dip your toe into the waters
Members can use WiFi Tribe's COVID guidelines as a starting point, but ultimately the exact COVID protocols will be decided as a group. In Bolivia, the group can take a majority-rules vote to decide together if they'd like to follow the same guideline or not.
Our community’s guidelines should be followed more strictly, however, as they are basic codes of conduct to treat everyone with dignity and respect. Harassment, reckless behavior that puts the group in jeopardy, and disregard for our shared values won’t be tolerated. Should anything concerning come up, you'll be able to get in touch with the team directly or report concerns through our reporting form.
