Marrakech
Morocco
Mar 21 - Apr 18, 2025
Are you curious about what it's like to live in Morocco for a month? This will be our third time visiting this epic destination after falling in love with its vibe again in 2023. Marrakech isn’t just about the iconic souks and stunning palaces; it’s a hub for creatives and remote workers seeking unique cultural experiences and adventure. The city’s energy is infectious, combining Imazighen, Arabic, and European influences. Whether you’re taking a break in a café, soaking in the local culture after a productive day or off on a jampacked weekend trip, we found Marrakech has a rhythm that keeps you motivated.

"I learned so many new games: card games, drinking games, you name it! I got to know everyone so well through these and our deep late night conversations, which happened everywhere from the desert under the stars to the comfort of our Riad. Having meals together and riding in vans together for long distances allowed us to bond...
One extra special moment was when I learned to surf! The Tribe encouraged me to go even though I’d never been before and never imagined I’d be good at it. Now I have a new hobby, and I plan to surf everywhere I can!" - Melanie

2. Take a hot air balloon ride at sunrise
Float above the rugged beauty of Morocco at sunrise with a hot air balloon ride. Watch the sunrise and you drift peacefully over the desert, valleys, and distant mountains. It’s a truly unforgettable way to see Morocco from a whole new perspective.

Highlights
This year we've decided to stay in Gueliz, a quieter alternative to the Medina. There's a heavier European influencer here with open plazas and contemporary shops but is still only a 15min drive from shopping in the Souks of Medina.
We have 5 properties 5-12 min walk from one another. The distance between the 2 furthest homes is a 12 min walk.
All rooms have AC.
Between all 5 apartments, we have access to a spacious wooded patio, large living rooms, fully equipped kitchens, outdoor terraces, large dining areas, and a barbecue for gatherings.
Good to Know
In Morocco, some bathrooms lack shower curtains due to traditional design preferences and use of wet room-style bathrooms.
As far as Muslim countries go, Morocco is relatively relaxed, but you'll still draw an awful lot of unpleasant and unwanted attention should you choose to venture out in anything too revealing. Ideally, stick with something that goes beyond your knees, covers your shoulders, and doesn't reveal too much cleavage for exploring the streets.
You'll be able to immerse yourself in the cultural experience of Ramadan which is expected to begin on 28 February and continue until 30 March, 2025.

We have three amenities categories we look at when selecting the upgrade rooms:
- Functionality: desk, chair, kitchen, ensuite bathroom, privacy, AC, kitchenette or kitchen, fridge, walk-in closet or extra storage space etc.
- How it looks: balcony, terrace, views, size of room, size of bed, windows/natural light, decor, living room or seating area, couch, coffee table, mirror etc.
- Mixed: When possible, the room shares some of both of the above.
- Securing the upgrade guarantees that you get the amenities you've paid for.
- Upgrades that have not been secured will be assigned to members based on a number of different factors by the host (order of booking, circle level, etc.)
- If all rooms have a particular amenity such as AC we do not offer upgrades for that particular
