Experience Oman with the Tribe
Take on Muscat with the Tribe and discover a new side to Oman. Open your mind to the cocreated community experiences, adventures, and classic WiFi Tribe moments that'll make our time here one of a kind.
1. Cool off at Wadi Shab
After a 45-minute walk along the strikingly beautiful pools, it'll be time to jump in. A full-day trip here will make us feel refreshed, and it's only 1.5 hours from Muscat.
2. Glamp (or camp) in the desert
The best time to stay overnight in the Wahiba Sands desert is October-March. After driving through endless dunes, the stargazing here is unmatched.
3. Haggle at Nizwa's souq
On Friday, hop in the car to get to one of the oldest souqs in the country. Haggling is the norm to get the best price on handicrafts, silver, and antiques (and visit the Nizwa Fort while you're here!).
4. Trek through Snake Canyon
Mostly named after the snake-like bends in the rocks, Snake Canyon is a trek that has it all: trekking, rock climbing, pools for swimming, and cliffs for jumping. This spot is a must for adventure lovers in Oman.
5. Transport back to the before-before times
Go see the still-inhabited mud village of Misfat Al Abriyeen. Stay at a local guesthouse for an authentic experience complete with home cooked meals.
6. Visit Sultan Qaboos Mosque
An important religious site in Muscat, the stark white building mixes with colorful tile work, mosaics and a huge Swarovski crystal chandelier.
7. Discover the "Norway of Arabia"
We'll be outside in Musandam. Let's sail through the fjords spotting dolphins, hike across canyons, cool off in swimming holes, and relax on white-sand beaches.
8. See the sun rise atop Jebel Shams
Jebel Shams, meaning Mountain of Sun, is the highest point in the Al Hajar mountain range. The 4km balcony walk around the rim is a must for insane views.

He loves playing tennis and piano, hiking and camping, and trying new foods around the world.

Highlights
We're staying right in the heart of Muscat, our property is in the prestigious Landmark Complex and commercial district with mosques, malls, restaurants, and cafes.
We'll stay across 5 suites all in the same complex. Each suite has the same setup of 3 Private Rooms, a separate living room, dining room, a fully stocked kitchen and a washer/dryer. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms, a closet, AC and a window.
During our stay we are going to have access to a shared rooftop pool, a 24/7 gym, complimentary shuttle service to shopping malls (set timetable), complimentary 2-way airport transfer, 1 complimentary car park space.
Good to Know
Embracing local norms is all part of the experience, so come prepared to immerse ourselves in Muscat's culture which means for example: consuming alcohol only at a licensed restaurant/ in your private room or not showing affection in public.
We are staying in a hotel complex so be aware that other hotel guest will be around sharing common areas like the rooftop pool or the 24/7 gym.
During our 1st Chapter here, many Tribers rented a car for the month to explore more areas around Muscat and use it for weekend trips. Parking is included in the accommodation. Muscat is not a walkable city.
Based on our experience from the last chapter we'd recommend the use of a VPN.
