Our Colives are less structured than Chapters, with a slower pace, slightly more relaxed vibe, and a more intimate group. On our Cape Town Colive, you're signing up for a more chilled experience; exploring every inch of the city in your own time, resting, resetting, or catching up on work. Settle in for the last weeks of summer and enjoy staying in the beautiful city of Cape Town even longer.

Create a Home Base in Cape Town
Cape Town, also called "Mother City" is the perfect destination for everyone who'd like a little bit of everything. You got the mountains, the ocean, the savannah, the big city life, the best foodie scene, nightlife, national parks, adventures. There aren't a whole lot of reasons to not set up a home base in the city-that-has-it-all.

Highlights
We are staying in the popular neighborhood of Green Point, it's known for its parks, sleek restaurants, and easy access to the scenic Sea Point Promenade, V&A Waterfront as well as the city center.
We'll stay all together in one building (3 apartments in total).
Each apartment has a similar setup with a open plan kitchen, living room, and all bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. (Please note the shower doors are frosted).
The property has a rooftop pool with loungers and BBQ, as well as a high table with chairs. A great setup for our Tribal Tuesdays.
All rooms have AC.
Good to Know
South Africa is currently experiencing load shedding, which you will notice during our Colive. This impacts electricity availability and internet stability for multiple hours a day, though power shortages are advertised in advance to help plan. Consider bringing MiFi devices and getting local SIM cards as backups if our homes are affected.
We've got generators to cover electricity outages on site.
You've got access to laundry facilities.
Walking alone at night isn't advised, we'll take more Ubers than normal here to safely explore the nightlife. Luckily we are all staying together in one building which makes it easier to share rides or walk together as a group.

What to Expect Coliving With the Tribe
The Tribe will create shared "house rules" and handle any issues with the accommodations or WiFi with our local contacts. There won’t be a dedicated Host on the ground.
It's a smaller, more intimate group where everyone will live under one roof, there will be lots of catching up with familiar faces over home-cooked dinners.
The vibe, as always, is community-centric; everyone pitches in to plan game nights, weekend adventures, and daily sunset rituals to make our time together unforgettable.

"One of my favorite moments was in the middle of a road trip to the southern tip of Africa, my car pulled off the road and had a spontaneous dance break for a few minutes. It was fun and life-giving..."
4. Organize a local safari experience
"I wasn't very up for doing a "rich & white" safari and decided to go [with] the Tribe. It turned out to be one of the most genuine experiences of my life!"
5. Come together under for a wine picnic
"Fave memory - a giant 16 person singing cuddle puddle on picnic blankets under the stars at an after-dark winery. Classic WiFI Tribe"
6. Grab a board and go surfing
Head to Muizenberg for one of the best surf spots in South Africa for beginners - thanks to the consistent waves and gently sloping sand bottom of the beach.
7. Embrace the sundowner culture
Cape Town is immersed in the most breathtaking views, add a sunset, a drink, a stunning landscape and maybe an occasional whale fin - you have the perfect moment.
8. Take a different perspective
Step off the top, at 1000 meters above sea level, and rappel into pure vertical space, if you love the adrenaline kick, this is a must!

Cape Town Colive FAQs

Unless otherwise specified, if a member cancels a booking for an Experience at least ten weeks prior to the commencement of that Experience, the Member shall receive a full refund minus the deposit made.
If a Member cancels a booking for an Experience at least six weeks prior to the commencement of that Experience but less than ten weeks prior, the Member shall receive a 50% refund minus the deposit made.
If a Member cancels a booking for an Experience with less than six weeks notice, no refund shall be made and all deposits shall be forfeited.

The address of our coliving home will be shared about 4 weeks before we arrive.
Colives are about staying in a home away from home for months at a time and the reset that comes with it. Take a breather from making big decisions about where you’ll live next, unpack your things and let your bags gather dust for a change, get back into some good habits and routines, and spend time with a family of familiar faces who are settling in for a while too.
On Chapters there’s more urgency to feel, see, and taste everything in 4 weeks and dive headfirst into getting closer with new friends. On Colives, the vibe is more about chilling out with a more intimate group of the friends who we met on Chapters and now feel like family, spreading out our weekend adventures so there’s still time to relax, and appreciating a break from the stresses that come with always being on the go. The coliving setup will be just as community-centric as a Chapter. Like always, everyone will pitch in to plan game nights, weekend adventures, and epic BBQs to make our time together unforgettable.
The Tribe on Colives will also create shared rules and guidelines for living together and handle any issues with the accommodations or wifi directly with our local contacts as there won’t be a dedicated Host on the ground while we’re there.
