We've added a second Ski Week to the calendar because one a year isn’t enough! For the first time ever, we'll be having a back-to-back ski week Unplugged in Livigno and Chamonix.

Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in the Alps and Western Europe, and the highest mountain in Europe outside the Caucasus mountains, rising 4,805.59 m above sea level. It has a legendary 20-kilometre (12-mile) valley (the longest in Europe), and Chamonix has been dubbed "the birthplace of alpine skiing" because of it.

‘The Chamonix Valley is famous for challenging skiing and a range of off-piste routes. It's easy to access the backcountry thanks to the lifts that whizz you up to the peaks of Mont Blanc but there are easy slopes for beginners as well.’

Why join an Unplugged?

Unplugged adventures are all about our reunion, seeing familiar faces while taking an intentional break from work to reconnect and reminisce about the wild days of the Tribe. It's a chance to keep in touch with old friends a few times a year and stay plugged into the community, even when we're no longer fully nomadic and able to join month-long Chapters. Living our daily lives together is beyond compare, now imagine us in vacation mode.

A holiday with old friends, are you in?

I just loved being able to get to know new Tribers, banding together and dancing, eating together, and exploring together. Learning how to ski can be hard, so there is nothing better to have others hold you accountable and cheer you on! :) - Triber, Elektra

Reunite with the Old Pals in the Snow

Chamonix has slopes for all skill levels, from beginner to expert. It's known for its challenging off-piste runs and the famous Vallée Blanche glacier run. It promises unforgettable skiing experiences and lively après-ski in the charming town. With very reliable snow In January through to February, top facilities, and stunning scenery, Chamonix is a top spot our Ski week!

Get Your Freestyle on in Snow Parks

The Chamonix Valley has nine ski resorts, including the renowned "Les Grands-Montets." The area caters to skiers, snowboarders, and freeriders of all levels and is divided into four main locations, connected by a ski bus service. Read more here.

'Step into the Void'

The Aiguille du Midi offers views of Mont Blanc and the Chamonix Valley from several platforms. It is the starting point for the famous Vallée Blanche glacier run and features the Espace Vertical alpinism exhibition. The "Step into the Void" glass box provides uninterrupted views above the mountains.

Choo choo through the French Alps!

Take the Montenvers train to the Mer de Glace glacier (1913m) for stunning views, ice caves with ice sculptures, the Glaciorium with information on the glacier's history and climate change, and the Terminal Neige for drinks and food along the way.

After Ski we Aprés-Ski!

Chamonix is known for world-class skiing, but it's also known for its world-class après-ski scene and nightlife! The town has numerous bars for après-ski drinks with options at the base of each ski area as well.

Disclaimer: Some of the pictures are from our Unplugged ski week adventures in Saint Lary and Val Thorens as well as last year's Unplugged in Livigno.

Our Home in Chamonix

The first Winter Olympics was hosted in Chamonix in 1924, with five snowy mountains forming the backdrop of its ski area. The valley offers slopes for every skier, with various altitudes and orientations. Seasoned skiers can tackle challenging slopes while enjoying stunning views. Beginners can sharpen their skills on the valley's low-altitude 'green' slopes or at the ski school.

Chamonix has over 150 km of pistes and around 15,000 acres of off-piste skiing. With a skiing altitude of 1035 – 3842 metres, it has a great snow record, especially in January. Read more on the official resort website.

What is Unplugged?

Unplugged adventures are about reuniting with old friends. It's a week-long intentional break from the day-to-day to disconnect from work and reconnect with the Tribe.

It's a chance for us to keep in touch with old friends a few times a year and stay plugged into the community, even when we're no longer fully nomadic and able to join month-long Chapters.

That's why, for these adventure weeks, we're looking for members who have joined Chapters before and intimately understand what being a Triber is all about.

Why did we choose skiing and snowboarding as a Unplugged adventure?

We're a group that loves to ski and snowboard, members have self organized their own ski weeks with fellow Tribers, so we want to help take it a step further. There's magic to renting out an entire chalet for cozy community hangs and bonding over a shared passion with people with whom we already feel close.

How is Unplugged different from a Chapter?

Chapters have a focus on productivity with the expectation that everyone will log on to work Monday-Friday. Unplugged is a time to... well, unplug.

Set up an out of office message and take off days from work, these week-long adventures are a holiday as a Tribe. We won't be working during the week, instead all of our focus will be on the adventure and the intention of getting even closer by sharing an epic experience.

Is there wifi at our accommodations?

Since this is a chance to unplug from our daily work schedules, we aren't specifically sourcing accommodations for their wifi reliability and speeds. We also won't have the backup MiFi devices on the ground or other supportive tech gear.

During Unplugged adventures, our accommodations might have wifi but it's not a given!

Find answers about the resort and Chamonix below:

Which resorts are nearby? What are the difficulty levels?

Chamonix makes up part of the Mont Blanc ski area. There are two ski passes to choose from: Chamonix Pass or the Mont Blanc Pass. Ski passes can be purchased ahead of time online.

View and download the resort map here

Is a ski pass included in the Ski Week price?

A ski pass is not included in the trip price because everyone will likely have a different agenda in the Italian Alps. Some will take the first lift up the mountain and be the last ones down, while others indulge in the many other winter activities on offer here.

Resort passes cost from €83 pp for a 1-day pass (or €258 for 6 days) and can be purchased ahead of time online.

Can I rent equipment at the resort or in Chamonix?

There are a variety options for equipment hire, either at the resorts or in the village. You can rent gear and warm clothes and have them delivered directly to your apartment. See more info here.

I don't want to ski or snowboard, can I still join the trip?

Of course! Livigno offers a variety of winter activities and a bustling small village to fill your time. Try fat bike trails, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or snowmobile tours to experience the Italian Alps without hitting the slopes.
