GREECE

Aug 20 - Sep 17 | Sep 24 - Oct 22 2021

4 weeks coliving & coworking in Greece...

We are back!  We're excited to dip our toes for the 2nd time into the warm turquoise waters of the Greek island, Crete! You have the  choice to stay for 4 weeks or even 2 months. The last time we loved it so much that we decided to stay longer to explore it's splendid beaches, ancient treasures and landscapes, weaving in vibrant cities and dreamy villages, where locals share their traditions, wonderful cuisine and generous spirit. Not to forgot, paired with a great coliving and coworking setup.

Explore Colorful Streets

It's the perfect balance of cultural and historical immersion to bring you back in time. Think breezy aperitivo lunches in local seaside tavernas, the wild juxtaposition of experiencing ancient historical ruins, and soaking in the local, colorful culture in small towns and on the iconic Greek islands – it's all here! Hello beach explorations and laid-back local Greek life!

Mediterranean Food

Salivate over fresh Greek salad topped with local feta and olives, handmade moussaka casserole, piping hot gyros, and eggplant souvlaki. The flavor and quality of food here in Greece is second to none – (and it's one of the healthiest diets on the planet to boot!) Of course, a bit of baklava to balance things out never hurt anyone!

Swim on Balos Beach

The Bay of Balos is simply stunning and is one of the iconic pictures of western Crete. The water here is beautiful jade color and is always crystal clear. It is also a nature reserve for birds, sea turtles and the Mediterranean seal.

Big, big nature..and lots of it!

No island in Greece does dramatic quite like Crete. Mountain ranges have risen across the island, with cloud-piercing tips sending water cutting through the limestone terrain to leave a legacy of more than 400 canyons and gorges that have rightly gained cult status amongst ramblers. Crossing the Samaria Gorge takes you through some of the most magical scenery in Europe, as well as abandoned villages and other historical highlights, and allows you to get close to the rich wildlife of Crete’s White Mountains National Park.

Afterwork: Ocean Edition

Pamper yourself with a unique experience to dive into the crystal clear waters around the island of Crete, enjoy the majestic sunset on the sea, taste local Cretan wine and take unforgettable pictures on the upper deck overlooking the sea during sunset. Perfect event for a Tribal Tuesday evening.

Wander through the exotic palm grove of Preveli Lake

Believe it, or not - one of Europe’s most exotic landscapes is found in Crete and we’d love to check it out with you. With its palm grove, saltwater lagoon and dramatic Cretan gorge as scenery, Preveli beach takes exotic to another leve  Take a walk or ride along the river, through the palm trees and the oleander to the gorge, is undoubtedly a unique experience.

Lounge at the Beach of Elafonissi

Throw on your shades, shorts, and hit the clear turquoise waters of Elefanoissi (and the numerous other beaches down the coastline!) for days of paradise along the the coast. Elafonissi Beach in particular is known for it's pink sand and crystal clear water. This is the place to catch mind blowing sunsets, sink your toes in the soft sand, and poke around the upscale boutiques in the surrounding town. It's the quintessential Greek beach experience!

Our coliving space in Greece

With 20 Tribers we'll be calling a beautiful complex of apartments and suites our home in Atsipopoulo, overlooking Rethymno Town. We've selected this place specifically with COVID front of mind – the ideal set-up during times with lots of outdoor community space: a rooftop terrace, a big pool, a garden and multiple patios. Some apartments even come with it's own balcony.

At only 10 minutes walking distance from Georgioupolis, a former fishing village and its beautiful sandy beach, it's the perfect spot to spend time freely in nature. Up for a morning run on the beach? Or an evening swim with the sunset?

The accommodation comes equipped with good internet, AC, open common areas for work, a private pool... and even a BBQ. A coliving setup that will make it easy for us all to be productive, feel comfortable, and have the freedom to explore this amazing Greek island! Here you can see a collection of photos of our coliving house in Crete:

If you’d like to find out more about what it’s like to live in Greece as a ‘digital nomad’, including internet speeds, cost of living, and co-working spaces, take a look at Nomad List’s guide. Internet stability issues can arise every now and then. We always have MiFi devices with mobile data as backups in all homes to make sure that we can keep working productively if there are any stability issues.

I’m New to This, How Does it Work?

WiFi Tribe is a membership-based community of remote professionals who travel together without sacrificing their careers. Our travel style is a bit unconventional–it's collaborative, community-focused, and even more fulfilling because we get to share it. Each Chapter is a moment in time where we colive, cowork, and explore a new country, getting our work done during the week and adventuring in our downtime.

Discover why we love to wander the world on our own terms.

Are there changes to Chapters due to COVID?

We have a responsibility to keep our members and the local communities that host us as safe as possible while we continue to travel together.

As you read through our guidelines below, you will see a combination of local government guidelines and the CDC, WHO, and RKI recommendations to ensure safety for everyone joining us on a chapter. In addition, country-specific measures to each Chapter will be shared with attending members during the 2-week online meet-and-greet before the Chapter.

Every Tribe member has been welcomed into WiFi Tribe because we felt that there was an alignment with our 6 values: Respect, Humility, Camaraderie, Curiosity, Passion, and Inclusion. Now, it is more important than ever that we choose to live by them every day. We will enforce the following protocols as necessary, but we are confident that every member of this Chapter will respect fellow Tribe members and the local community.
